Blog issue 7)
Back by popular demand !! Well if you can call 3 readers, constitutes to making the blog popular? anyway...
Well what can I say, i've been quite distracted over the last 4 weeks on my travels from Cheltenham, Whitby to Newcastle last week. Also working the GN in between. I have taken my eye off the ball!
This could be a long one, so time to reach for the berocca!
First and foremost you've all done a fantastic job over the Cheltenham and Aintree festivals! It's so good to be on a district with proper betting shops and outstanding service! Top tipster for Cheltenham was Kai in Lowden, well done!! I should have the vouchers with you some time, next week. I don't think I did too well but thankfully I more than made up for it at the racecourse.
The result of the grand national went in favour of the bookies, but Flamstead decided to give it all away with a 10k payout on the football, and a 10k payout on the golf.
Sorry I did not get around the whole district, I tried my hand at hosting for the day. The pictures and the extra mile you all went to on the day, was a real pleasure to see and be a part of!! Once again well done and I can't wait to do it all again with you all next year! Thanks also to Mandy, Cheryl and Katie for coming over to help out for the day we are very grateful. Luke was delighted with the cup cakes! (I hope the customers got some?)
GREAT NEWS !!!!! I am actually lost for superlatives on how to best praise the districts efforts. With regards the FIRST WAVE of mystery shoppers results. The target for the year is 55% and I am pleased to announce for the first time ever the district has achieved above 60%. Well done to all, we must all now continue this into wave 2 starting next week......
With over 20 new starters on the district it is imperative that we train, develop and instil good customer service skills from day one. All new starters should have read the last 5 mystry shopper reports at least. I shall be testing their knowledge and looking for good behaviour on my visits.
Let's please make all the new starters welcome and encourage daily. As with all new jobs it can be very daunting. Good standards are given from day one.
We also achieved our target of 10 NPS scores on the district. The last two branches to join the party were Ware Road and Enfield Highway!! Well done. Now the last target for these 10 branches is to make it a perfect hat-trick! In the next blog I am going to run a book on it. Please keep up the good work!
Well done and congratulations to our very own techno wiz Mark Lesser winning the regional HOME AWARD. Even more kudos for the district. At this rate we shall lose him to silicon valley and then we will all be buggered.
I know you have all missed my tipping section and I even got a email from Tom Segal last week looking for the winner of this Saturdays BET365.

Interesting to see Coneygree in blog 2, go and win the Gold Cup. Fantastic performance!
Time to vote for our next social event to be held in May ????? Top Golf, was a Top Night !! I think everyone knows the story of the night !?! My first time over to Chigwell and I loved it, i shall definitely go again...
